Vegas, 25k, and $0.99

I spent several days last week in Las Vegas for business. It was tough being away from my family , but it was fun to see some of the settings I used in the manuscript I recently completed.

I hit 25,000 words on the work-in-progress I started on January 1!

I was also excited to see that the Kindle version of my debut novel, Canyon Walls, is being offered on Amazon for only $0.99.

Overall, it was a great week.

Tell me about your week.

  1. Wow! Such great news here today, Julie! A trip away, major writing progress and a book sale!!! All fun things! I think your week was better than mine. I was dragging a bit last week, so I didn't get much accomplished. I suppose I zeroed in on the end of the school year a tad too soon! (Ya think?) :) Anyways, back to the routine.

  2. Love the title of your post today, Julia! I was wondering: Las Vegas, did she win $25,000 by putting .99 cents in a slot machine?!?! :) Wish that were true, right? But the news you shared was almost as good! Hope you had fun. :)

  4. Fun!! I just realized I haven't read that book. Guess who's going to Amazon right after this...?? :)

My week last week was a blast...I got to see my debut cover AND spend the weekend with my sisters. This week I'm back at work...but by the end of the week I will have finished edits on Made to Last. And that is an exciting feeling!

    1. It's not Nano speed, but if I can get 1,000 words per day, I'm happy!

  9. Oh wow! Vegas baby! Sounds like you had a blast! Was it cold there? My friend was there a couple of weeks ago and said it was freezing (this from a good Canadian girl!)

Wow, you are on fire with your book. That's almost half a book already! Amazing!!! Can't wait to read some! :)

    1. The trip was a lot of fun. The weather was nice. My husband was there the week before, and it was freezing. I guess I missed the worst of the weather.

I'm trying to get this new story finished up so I can send it to you. :)
