Back to School / Back to Routine

My son starts preschool this week. I can't believe my little boy is big enough to be in school. :( I'm praying that it's a smooth transition for both of us.

We packed all of our summer traveling into the past few weeks. We flew to Kentucky to visit family and then went to the lake with friends. We had a great time, but it's time to buckle down and get back into a routine. My writing time has suffered over the past month, so I'm hoping school will help us get back on a more consistent schedule. I'm the most productive when I have more structure around my days and weeks.

How about you? Are you more productive when you and your family have plenty of free time or with a more structured schedule?

  1. The Eldest used to cry when I went to pick her up from preschool. She was having too good a time and didn't want to come home. Bet your little man will have a lot of fun, too.

I get more done when I stick to a schedule.

  2. I'm definitely more productive with a schedule and routine. Don't get me wrong--I love free time. LOVE. But too much time without a schedule or structure and I can get a little too la-ti-da about my responsibilities. Haha!

  3. Aww, preschool? Crazy, isn't it? I'm not going to know what to do when my last one is in school :)

I am DEFINITELY more productive when I have a routine. I get up expecting to fill my day and knowing I only have a set amount of hours to get things done, so I'd better get busy. But I love being busy, so it works for me!

  4. Wow, he's getting big!

I NEED a routine. If you give me too many variables, it gets ugly. LOL

  5. I need routine. When I don't have it, I make it. LOL They grow up way to fast, don't they?
